Kilkenny’s 3rd annual Charity 5k Santa run takes place on Saturday the 15th December 2012 at 12 noon. Everyone of all fitness levels are welcome to take part in this fantastic, fun day out for all the family as we prepare to get into the Christmas spirit while supporting a local charity Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre.

Please come dressed as Santa, or wearing your Santa hat (no costumes provided).

Prizes on the day for best costume.

Registration takes place from 9.30am Saturday 15th. in the Left Bank.

Cost of entry: Family’s €15; Adults €10; Child/Students €5.

At 12 noon we will meet outside the Castle Park gates to get our photo’s taken as a large group, then we will walk through the Castle grounds to the steps that lead us down to the Canal Square where the race will start around 12.20pm.

Route Directions: Starting on the Canal entrance from Johns bridge, John street and continuing down through the canal until we meet the exit at Blackquarry hill where we exit and continue up the hill to the Bennettsbridge roundabout, taking a right and heading down toward the Watershed leisure centre and right again continuing down past Supervalu and turning right at the Lidl roundabout and right again at the Aldi roundabout and continue on along the nuncio rd in the direction of the Castle Park where we will enter the castle gate and run down through the castle grounds and exit main gate onto the main parade plaza where we all finish.

All proceeds raised will be donated to Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre. This charity supports the needs of cancer sufferers and their families across Kilkenny City and County and work improve the lives and well-being of those coming to terms with a cancer diagnosis. Why not join in the fun & take part in this years event & do your bit to support a worthy cause this Christmas while getting into the festive spirit.
